Come join us at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1971. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents.

We are seeking to fill the position of Cook IIIfor WEEKENDS ONLY.

  • $24 to $24.75 per hour.
  • WEEKENDS SCHEDULE.

Cook Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A least 3 years experience in high volume food preparation setting.
  • Certification in food safety required.
  • Experience in Long-Term Care food service preferred.

    Cook Job Summary:

    • Prepare and serve all meals, including salads and desserts, for therapeutic diets according to planned menus.
    • Follow standardized recipes and special diet orders.
    • Serve meals using proper portions and special diet items.
    • Prepare food for special occasions or special resident needs as necessary.
    • Maintain equipment and food storage areas in sanitary and orderly condition.
